Vintage shopping in Montreal

Our suggestions of places to buy vintage treasures in Montreal.

The Hotel Le Germain Montreal is undergoing major renovations. As the new décor is inspired by the 60’s and Expo 67, we had the pleasure of going back in time to rediscover those years where design was everything.

To be inspired, we visited many local boutiques selling vintage artefacts, retro home décor and some collectibles from the 60s and 70s.

Here are our best places in Montreal to find some pieces of the past to upgrade your home.

A true institution in vintage shopping in Montreal, the Marché aux puces St-Michel is an Ali Baba cave for retro lovers. You can find everything from furniture to clothes, books, jewelry, home décor and much, much more. Note that you will need to pay cash. Also, the flea market is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Give yourself plenty of time to visit the two floors.

This very popular boutique sells furniture, lighting and artefacts from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Pieces of furniture are restored to perfection and would make the perfection addition to your décor.

The owners of this cute little place travel from the province of Quebec to the West Coast of the United States to find the most perfect vintage treasures for you. The shop also has a vast collection of modern accessories with a vintage flair made by local designers.

Specialized in artefacts from the 50s, 60s and 70s, this small shop located nearby Berri-UQAM metro station is full of vintage objects. Are you a collector of Expo 67’s artefacts? You’ll definitely find what you are looking for.
