Fall in Halifax

Where to eat, drink, shop and wander in and around Halifax for a perfect fall day.

There is nothing quite like wandering around town in a cozy sweater on a sunny fall day. With its maritime vibe and stunning views, Nova Scotia has everything to make it even better. Here are a few of our favourite things to do in and around Halifax in the fall:

Eat lunch at Canteen

Located in downtown Dartmouth, this great family-run restaurant is filled with light and good vibes. A perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch or brunch (on Saturdays), made with love.

Shop for your next favourite sweater

If you’re like us, you like a little bit of luxury – and it’s even better when we can find some pre-loved swag. Room 152 Boutique is a great place to stock up on designer sweaters and accessories.

Get to the Farmers’ Market

A farmers market in the fall feels like a giant horn of plenty: piles of squash and pumpkins, beautiful colours everywhere and the wonderful smell of freshly harvested fruits and vegetables. Who could ask for anything more? Head to the Halifax Farmers’ Market to get all of this – and more!

Warm your heart with some art

A nice day of wandering would not be the same without looking at art. We love Argyle Fine Arts gallery, which always carries pieces to make you think – or just to make you happy.

Have dinner and drinks at Bar Kismet

A favourite of locals and tourists alike, Bar Kismet is pretty much the perfect place to spend an evening. Book your table on their heated patio for fantastic cocktails, seafood and wine selection.

Happy discoveries !
