We are thrilled to unveil new beers for our Alt and Le Germain brands. This year, there’s a special twist: each region features a locally brewed beer from a microbrewery, allowing guests to discover unique flavours depending on where they are! We’ve also incorporated artwork by Uultraa, who created distinct duos for each Canadian region— Québec, Ontario, the Prairies, and St. John’s & Halifax. Each region offers two beers, each with a unique label:
1. Alt Beer—An IPA. Bold and full of character, this surprising brew is perfect for adventurous palates seeking new flavours.
2. Le Germain Beer — A blonde ale. A classic, refreshing taste inspired by English blonde ales—a true delight!
For the label designs, we turned to Québec artist Uultraa (Karl-Frédéric Anctil). His work, blending abstraction and figurative art, invites viewers to explore and interpret freely—everyone sees something different in his creations.
Partner Microbreweries:
Québec Duo In Québec, we continue our long-standing partnership with Brasserie du Bois Blanc in Coteau-duLac. Known for their high-quality craft beers, they play a key role in showcasing Québec’s brewing expertise. In Ontario, we’ve strengthened our collaboration with Brock Street Brewing Company from Whitby. Their beer was already available at Bar Le Germain, and we wanted to take this partnership further. Founded by a group of friends, they craft innovative, high-quality beers that embody a spirit of creativity. The beers will be available in our restaurants, minibars, banquet services, and at Alt Hotels’ front desk counters. The newly designed beers will be introduced in all our Québec and Ontario hotels this fall, with a rollout in Western and Atlantic Canada planned for 2025.
We are proud to announce that Restaurant Les Labours at Hôtel & Spa Le Germain Charlevoix has been honoured with the prestigious Wine Spectator’s 2024 Best of Award of Excellence. This is an internationally recognized award, with only 1,531 winners worldwide achieving this level of distinction—making this honour all the more significant for Les Labours.
