Where to eat steps away from Le Germain Hotel Quebec City

Our favourite restaurants a few steps from Le Germain Hotel Quebec City.

Quebec City is full of great restaurants and the Old Port area is no exception. We’ve put together a list of our favourite restaurants, just a few steps from the hotel.

L’ÉCHAUDÉ

A classic if ever there was one, L’Échaudé charms with its French brasserie feel and its simple and always delicious menu.

LE LAURIE RAPHAËL

One of the city’s great restaurants, less than a minute's walk from the hotel, Le Laurie Raphaël serves very elaborate cuisine in a refined and slightly bustling setting. We suggest the tasting menu...a unique and truly surprising experience.

LOUISE TAVERNE ET BAR À VIN

You don't need to go far to enjoy friendly cuisine and excellent wines: just cross the street and you'll be at Louise's.

LÉGENDE PAR LA TANIÈRE

Every experience here is one to be treasured. Légende par la Tanière offers a super-local and inventive boreal cuisine. A real treat for the eyes and taste buds. Once again, we recommend the tasting menu. You’ll want to taste as many dishes as possible at this restaurant.

Groupe La Tanière, who are behind this restaurant, have several exciting projects in Quebec City’s Old Port, including the recently opened L'Orygine bistro.

RIOUX & PETTIGREW

Formerly Quai 19, this Saint-Paul Street restaurant exudes a joie de vivre. We like to stop in at lunchtime, when the dining room is flooded with natural light.

LA MAISON SMITH

In the heart of Place Royale, the very birthplace of Quebec City, is La Maison Smith, where you can enjoy coffee and pastries while watching people go by. Our favourite time to go? In the morning when the neighbourhood is just waking up and Place Royale is still very quiet.

L’INITIALE

One of the most renowned restaurants in the city is located a few metres from Le Germain Hotel Quebec. L'Initiale offers absolutely exquisite, meticulous and authentic cuisine. The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with a loved one.

Bon appétit!
