The benefits of pressotherapy

What is pressotherapy? What are the benefits?

Chantal Barnwell, director of Le Germain Nordic Spa, explains how it works and why it's good for us.

Pressotherapy is a therapeutic method that helps to eliminate swelling, heavy legs and the feeling of fatigue. It also prevents varicose veins and is an integral part of the therapeutic arsenal in the treatment and prevention of cellulite. Once the 4 sleeves are in place, we adjust the pressure and the duration of the session. These are then inflated with a sequential program. This mechanized drainage session is an ideal treatment for athletes to recover after sport.

Indeed, by accelerating lymphatic circulation, pressotherapy helps to increase the functions of waste elimination and to fight against the accumulation of toxins by drainage.

  • Reduces muscular tension
  • Reduces daily stress
  • Helps relieve muscle and joint pain
  • Stimulates the immune system
  • Activates venous and lymphatic circulation
  • Stimulates blood exchange and improves circulation
  • Helps to drain toxins and wastes
  • Helps to relieve swelling
  • Provides a feeling of relaxation and well-being
