THE ROUTE TO LA BAIE (381)

Passing through St-Urbain and then on to Grands Jardins Park this route is paradise for anyone who loves beautiful landscapes as well as the coastline. The “maison jaune" coastline has become a Hors Catégorie cycling classic. The beauty of this route is that the difficult climbs are in the first half (it’s just about all uphill) and then, just when the cyclist is tired of climbing, they can practically cruise all the way back down.

THE MOUNTAIN ROUTE TO LA MALBAIE AND THE RETURN VIA THE RIVER ROUTE

This 105km / 1750m elev+ route is for cyclists who want to discover the region, the villages and Charlevoix’s many coastlines. The first part of the journey is mainly inland, revealing the rugged terrain of the region. Past St-Aimé des Lacs, a long descent begins towards La Malbaie where at last cyclists come to the majestic river. It’s the perfect place to stop and enjoy a pint of local beer before heading along the coastline that characterizes the road linking La Malbaie, St-Irénée, Les Éboulements and finally Baie-St-Paul. A long descent will bring cyclists to a lookout belvedere, offering views of Baie-St-Paul and from where you can see l’Isle-aux-Coudres from a unique vantage point.

Happy cycling!
