Some addresses for a memorable stay in Paris.
In June, my daughter Marie Pier and I visited Paris for a short mother-daughter trip. We came back with our heads and hearts filled with new memories, having spent some precious time together. We’d now like to share with you some of our favourite spots to eat, drink, shop and enjoy art in wonderful Paris.
EAT
Clamato - 80, rue de Charonne
For fresh fish and wild oysters.
Restaurant l’Avenue – 41, avenue Montaigne We love it there because of the typical Parisian vibe of the neighborhood.
DRINK
Chez Francis – 7, Place de l’Alma
A restaurant with the best view on the Eiffel Tower.
Bar Joséphine – 45, Boulevard Raspail
An elegant bar where to have a few delicious cocktails.
Hôtel La Réserve – 42, avenue Gabriel
You have to have a drink in the Library of the bar, where you can choose between a classic cocktail or a revisited version of one. There is also a pianist playing live.
ART
Fondation Louis Vuitton – 8, avenue du Mahatma Gandhi
L’Atelier des Lumières – 38, rue Saint-Maur
Immersive art exhibitions located in an old foundry.
Musée d’Orsay – 1, rue de la Légion d’Honneur
We highly recommend the exhibition on Berthe Morisot (presented until September 22 2019).
SHOPPING
Jet Set – 7, rue de Sèvres
For Italian-inspired shoes.
Barbara Bui – plusieurs adresses
Modern ready-to-wear with a je-ne-sais-quoi. The store on rue des Saints-Pères has a nice shopping experience and people working there are very charming.
Maje – plusieurs adresses
For very stylish clothes.
From Future – 54, rue de Rennes
We love their colourful cotton and cashmere sweaters.
Le Bon Marché – 24, rue de Sèvres
We love the shoes department as well as the food court, where we would buy and eat everything!
Les galeries Lafayette – 60, avenue des Champs-Élysées
The new store on les Champs-Élysées is truly a shopping lab. You must experience the food court.
