A colorful fall in Montreal and in Montérégie

The display of autumn’s colours is well underway in Montreal and Montérégie. It's time to play — outside as well as inside — and to go pamper yourself at a spa!

Montreal-Montérégie by bike or on foot

The lane reserved for cyclists and pedestrians on the new Samuel-de-Champlain bridge is a delight for all biking and walking enthusiasts. With a total length of 3.4 km, the path leads out of Montreal, from the Claude-Robutel L’Île-des-Soeurs roundabout to the La Riverain trail in Brossard, in complete safety. The view of downtown Montreal from there is not to be missed!

The Montreal Biodome

More immersive than ever, the Biodome now allows you to stroll through 5 different ecosystems. Additionally, a brand-new mezzanine lets you admire the rainforest, the Laurentian maple forest and the Gulf of St. Lawrence from a completely different perspective. You can now also walk through a tunnel and along an ice wall to experience the briskness of the subantarctic islands and the coasts of Labrador. It’s a wonderful activity for nature- and animal-lovers alike!

Week-ends gourmands de Rougemont

Sink your teeth into apple season by heading to Montérégie, about an hour from Montreal, to explore the Week-ends gourmands site in Rougemont. You’ll meet producers from the region offering local products, including delicious ciders and wines like those from the famed Michel Jodoin cider house. And don’t miss the mini-farm at Potager Mont-Rouge Halte Gourmande — guaranteed to delight young and old!

Gault Nature Reserve, Mont-Saint-Hilaire

With 25 km of hiking trails for all skill levels as well as 4 different summits, this UNESCO-protected site exudes a splendid autumnal atmosphere that makes it easy to take in the colours in the valleys of the Montérégie. At the same time, the great diversity of minerals, fauna and flora serves as a research and teaching centre on ecosystem conservation for McGill University. It’s an ideal way to combine meaning and fun!

Urban spas

Relax and unwind in one of the many urban spas in the greater Montreal area. Whether at Strøm spa on Nun’s Island, where relaxation areas surround an outdoor firepit; at the magnificent Bota-Bota spa, which serves up a breathtaking view of Old Montreal, or Skyspa in the heart of the DIX30 district, spas are always a great idea!
